Ever wanted to know what it's like to start your own business?

In just 54 hours, you will experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up life at a startup. As you learn how to create a real company, you'll meet the very best local mentors, investors, cofounders, and sponsors who are ready to help you get started.

Here's how it works:

- Have an idea? Anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. If you don't have an idea to pitch, you will help decide which ideas make it to the next round.

- Teams form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and embark on a three-day frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. Mentors from a variety of sectors will be available all weekend to offer support and guidance when needed.

-The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback! The winning teams will receive #SWPEI Prize packages to help them further their startup beyond Startup Weekend!
