Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Prince County, warning of significant snowfall reaching up to 15 cm.

"The best chance in seeing the heavier snowfall are communities north and west of Summerside," the statement reads.

CBC meteorologist Tina Simpkin said Islanders should also watch out for strong winds in the evening.
