Search operations are continuing Sunday for a possible missing boater in the waters of Egmont Bay.

An RCMP news release Sunday said Mounties, Tyne Valley firefighters and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre launched a search Saturday evening after a witness reported seeing a dory offshore from Enman Shore Road in North Enmore.

The witness said that a man had been seen on board and that the vessel didn't move for several hours as darkness fell, which was considered unusual.
