Driver Corey MacPherson says he had his late grandfather on his mind during the race
CBC NewsRyan McKellopMontague's Corey MacPherson and his horse Miki Shan N won the 66th Gold Cup and Saucer race on Saturday night in Charlottetown.
This is the first Gold Cup and Saucer victory for MacPherson. The race carries a $100,000 prize purse.
He said he was thinking of his late grandfather Glenn Taylor, a noted horseman who died in 2013. Taylor got him into the sport.
