A 41-year-old man faces several charges, including child endangerment, after a weekend incident, police say.

Charlottetown police said they received a call from a concerned citizen reporting an assault at a downtown residence on July 5 around 5:15 p.m. AT.

The caller also reported that a man was seen dangling a child over a third-storey balcony, according to a news release.

Officers arrived at the residence and conducted an investigation that led to the man's arrest.
