The Liberal Party of PEI has added two strong voices to their team with the appointment of Leadership Convention Co-Chairs.
Born and raised in eastern PEI, Dr. Randi Doyle earned her PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of New Brunswick. She is currently a Psychology Professor in the School of Social Sciences at Minerva University, and lives in Stratford with her husband, Michael, and son, Linden.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to help oversee a process that re-engages our grassroots supporters from tip-to-tip,” stated Dr. Doyle. “It is my hope that through this we can inspire a new generation of Islanders to stand up and get involved with the Liberal Party of Prince Edward Island.”
Elizabeth (Libby) Shaw earned her Bachelor of Law from the University of New Brunswick before returning to the Island to work. She is an associate in the Alberton office of Cox & Palmer, and is an active member of several sports teams and organizations, including; the Prince County Exhibition and 4-H. Libby is proud to call West Prince home, residing in Bloomfield with her husband, Andrew, and son, Hank.
“It’s an honour to be asked once again to play a role in our Party’s renewal,” continued Shaw. “Liberal leaders have been at the forefront of some of the most transformational times in our province and this leadership contest presents the next opportunity to reimagine what a Liberal vision for Prince Edward Island looks like.”
“Both Libby and Randi will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the task of selecting a new Leader,” added Party President, Doug MacDonald. “Our Executive is confident they will oversee an engaging, accessible, and transparent process to elect the next Leader of our Party, and the future Premier of Prince Edward Island.”
