One person has died in an E. coli outbreak that has sickened dozens of people who ate organic carrots that were sold in Canada and the U.S., according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said at least 39 people were ill with E. coli infections, including 15 hospitalizations, linked to fresh carrots sold by several large grocery retailers in 18 states. The Public Health Agency of Canada said it has not identified any cases rega…
