At Health and Food Matters it is our mission to address the need for healthy and sustainable lifestyle changes within our community and society as a whole. With increasing rates of disease such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease and cancer we plan to provide an integrated program designed to empower people to take control of their health and attain a balanced well-being, reducing their risk of sickness in the future. The program framework is based on four pillars of wellness: Healthful Nutrition, Regular Moderate Physical Activity, Stress Management and Mental Health, and Community Support and Professional Guidance. We believe an interconnected approach that is manageable and enjoyable is the key to long-term success.
