How to Beat the Heat In Charlottetown

If you need to beat the heat...the Charlottetown Parks and Recreation Department operates the Simmons and Victoria Park pools, and offers public swimming. Fully qualified lifeguards are employed at each facility to ensure user safety.

Victoria Park Pool and Splash Pad

Open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 7:45 p.m. There is no cost to use the pool but to ensure your safety we do have a limit of 65 people allowed in the pool at one time. Five times a day the pool will be closed for 10 minute periods to allow the staff to complete required pool checks and cleaning. These breaks will occur at 12:15 / 1:45 / 3:15 / 4:45 and 6:45

The splash pad is located next to the Victoria Park Pool.

Simmons Pool

The schedule for Simmons Pool, which is located off North River Road, is as follows:

  • 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. - Open Swim
  • 4:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. - Lane Swim (main Pool) / Open Swim (shallow area)
  • 6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. - Open Swim

The admission fee is $2 per participant for the entire day or $10 per family. A stamp will be provided so swimmers can come and go as they please.
