This year’s Prince Edward Island Fresh Food Directory is now available for Islanders and visitors, said Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Alan McIsaac.
“Each year our department creates a directory that maps out locations across P.E.I. where fresh food products are available for purchase. This year’s guide features 74 locations from tip to tip,” said Minister McIsaac. “The directory is an excellent user-friendly guide that promotes buying local and supporting our primary industries.”
The directory includes a map of the locations to allow for easy navigation from one fresh food location to another. Business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, and product lists are all available in the directory. A ‘What’s in Season’ chart is also incorporated in the directory to provide the consumer with a timeframe of product availability.
More than 45,000 copies of the directory will be distributed across P.E.I. this summer at Visitor Information Centers, PEI Liquor stores, Access PEI sites and at the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries offices. The directory is also available online at www.peiflavours.ca or you can obtain one by phoning 1-866-PEIFARM.
